That time “The Critic”* predicted NBC’s ratings woes.
In “LA Jay,” a 1994 episode from the short-lived series, Jay Sherman traveled to Los Angeles for a screenwriting gig. In a scene with Jay and his friend Jeremy, a Variety is seen with the headline “NBC SINKS TO 5th.” Again, this was 1994. NBC fell to 5th place in the 18-49 demo during February sweeps, placing behind Univision.
*”The Critic” is a really good show. You should go back and watch it.
