“Weeds” is entering its eighth and final season on Showtime this week (Season 8 premieres Sunday, July 1 at 10 p.m. ET) and it’s certainly been a long ride for Nancy Botwin (Mary Louise Parker) and co.

This year, Showtime’s ground-breaking TV series Weeds will come to a close.
The premium network will conclude series creator Jenji Kohan’s acclaimed pot comedy after eight seasons. Weeds helped pave the way for other daring cable shows and made Showtime a competitive force in the original series game.
There are plenty of shows to be thankful for, but 2011 was also the year for some major TV turkeys.
You know what we’re talking about — those shows or televised events that are just too horrific for even our “worst” lists of the year.
We’ve picked our top turkeys, included proof of poultry, and ranked them on a gobble-meter scale of 1-10, 1 being the least offensive or surprising in terms of suckiness, and 10 being scream-at-your-TV-in-anger levels of suck that we hope we never have to endure again.
